Consumer Blogs are a valuable resource to avoid bad companies like Natural Form

I consider myself an informed consumer, but sometimes I make mistakes.

After a bad experience with Tempur-Pedic, I decided to try a new sleep system; Natural Form, which claims to support a variety of medical illnesses and disorders. I heard this American company claims to sell "American Made" products, but the products are actually made and assembled in China (which is not the problem). This issue is deception. Apparently, I was not the only customer that had a bad experience with the deceptive company; and over-rated Natural Form sleep system.

According to my personal experience, the BBB, and Rip-off Report, Natural Form is NOT living up to it’s claims and promises (i.e. Free Shipping, 90-night trial, 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed, and 20 Year Warranty). The website claims a clinically proven technology designed to provide pressure-free sleep for various medical illness and disorders, but insurance companies will not allow a bed to be used as a “medical devise”.

The website claims Free Shipping, 90-night trial, and 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed, but website does not explain the consequences if the customer is not satisfied and/or if the customer returns the mattress within 90-days…the customer is responsible for a return shipping fee (unspecified amount; $150-$500) and/or a restocking fee (unspecified amount; $150-$500).

I returned two defective Natural Form Sleep System in a two month period, but according to Rip-off Report, I was not the only customer who had returned two Natural Form Mattresses in a two month period, due to defective parts.

Natural Form is like many mattress companies (i.e. Tempur-Pedic), which have a great marketing scheme to deceive customers to purchase their substandard products. Conclusion: Use this reliable Consumer Blog as a valuable resource; Don’t Buy, Don’t Trust, Natural Form.

Help! We have a Tempur-Pedic mattress…

Unfortunately, I have several family members who suffer with snoring and sleep apnea. According to Wikipedia Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing during sleep. The snoring and pauses in breathing results in missed breaths, which occurs repeatedly throughout the night. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder, which is described as a lack of breathing caused by a physical block to airflow and is associated with an increased risk of brain aneurism, sleep deprivation, cardiovascular disease, stroke, high blood pressure, arrhythmias, diabetes, and a 30% higher risk of heart attack or premature death.

After viewing the Tempur-Pedic Infomercials and talking with Tempur-Pedic sales associates about the “so-called” pressure relieving feature of the Tempur-Pedic mattresses, we purchased three sets of Tempur-Pedic mattresses to alleviate the snoring and to get better sleep. Unfortunately, we were deceived by the deceptive Tempur-Pedic marketing scam. The Tempur-Pedic mattresses caused my family members, who suffer with mild condition of sleep apnea to develop severe conditions of sleep apnea and TMJ symptoms. According to Wikipedia TMJ - Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJD, TMJ or TMD), or TMJ syndrome, is an umbrella term covering acute and chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint, which connects the mandible to the skull. The symptoms include significant chronic pain and impairment. The TMJ condition has been described as a disorder that transcends the boundaries between several health-care disciplines (i.e. dentistry, neurology, physical therapy, and psychology).

The Tempur-Pedic Company is aware of the complaints and health concerns caused by Tempur-Pedic mattresses, but they stand behind their policy to replace the mattress if they determine that the mattress is defective, and under no circumstance do they refund purchases REGARDLESS of the medical condition the Tempur-Pedic mattress causes. After the fact, we found that many complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Consumer Protection Agencies, and Rip-off Reports against the Tempur-Pedic Company.

We attempted to negotiate with the Tempur-Pedic Company, but they were uncompromising so we filed complaints. Needless to say, continuing to sleep on the Tempur-Pedic mattress was not worth jeopardizing our health and wellness (the Tempur-Pedic Company was unwilling to refund the deceptive purchase). Recently, we purchased firm COIL mattresses to replace the defective Tempur-Pedic mattresses and now we all sleep BETTER; without the TMJ symptoms.

If enough people complain about the health conditions caused by the Tempur-Pedic mattress the consumer protection agencies will rightfully cite the Tempur-Pedic mattress as a HEALTH HAZARD.
